Hey guys! I'm here to announce that Cosmic Velocity Designs is officially open! Remember the blog I mentioned I was making in the previous post? Yes it's done! Cosmic Velocity Designs is a blog I have created to satisfy all your Photoshop whims. I'll provide you with tutorials on Photoshop and more!

Why have I created this design blog is because I have been asked many, many times on how to do this and that on Photoshop. Not being able to answer verbally, I decided to create CVD and demonstrate to you guys what Photoshop can do. There's not much to read there but I'll try and update when and where I can. Tutorial requests are welcome. ;D

I may not be an expert, but I'll try my best to provide you with all the knowledge I have on Photoshop. I hope you'll enjoy this wonderful idea of mine. Please do visit it and give me some tags, questions and maybe even suggestions. They would be gladly appreciated. Thank you! (:

Hooray twentieth post! :D School was so-so today. Maths was AWESOME. We had more algebra practices. AWESOME. I ain't kidding! I love algebra now, thanks to my Maths teacher's teachings. Her teachings are so good it made me like Maths OMG. I look forward to every Maths lesson now. Maths is awesome. :DD

P.E. was boring as hell. I didn't bother to bring my PE T-shirt because I hate PE. Badminton sucks now. I just sat at the 'sick-people' corner for 2 periods, just staring at my friends playing badminton. There wasn't much to do, so I slept for 30 minutes and spent another 30 minutes daydreaming about Ryuubi.

Nothing much happened during recess. So SKIP. :D

Today's English lesson was AWESOME. We played a class game based on the Youth Olympic Games. Each row in our class has to answer one question in order to get points, so it was a fantastic battle. In the end, there was a tie. Ahaha! xD During the game, I was always the one called out to answer the question for my row since the first 2 questions of the game were answered by me. Ohoho, I didn't know I had this much knowledge about the YOG. >3

Mother Tongue. We had an assignment to do, as usual. We had to complete a formal letter within one period. I completed mine. Oh yay. 8D

Last lesson of the day, Social Studies. The class won't shut up so it was hard to pay attention to what the teacher, Mrs Wadhwani, had to say. So my friend Zhong Wei lent me volume 4 of OtoMen to relax and not care. Heh, OtoMen is interesting! I had a few chuckles while reading it. x3

2 homeworks today. Art and Maths. I have to do more sketches for Art and complete Maths. So.. yeah. Btw, I have another blog in progress right now. No one knows about this blog yet. I'll tell you guys when I'm done with it, kay? See ya!

Coding this layout was a pain in the butt. > >; Well, I decided to try out something new. The navigation menu above is so cool! I hovered over it for about 20 mins just now. xDD I love this layout. I guess my hard work was paid off. Anyway, I've to watch a TV movie in a few mins or so, so I don't think this post will be that long like the previous (boy that was looong). I was supposed to go to Dionne's house today, but I can't. Sorry, maybe next time Dionne! (:

I've completed 2 out of 3 homeworks. The last one is art. I need to do like 10 more sketches. Sheesh. Art is fun, but it sure is tiring. x_____x Yat's gonna delete his blog. NOOO! ;A; I don't want him to delete his blog. I don't know why, but I just don't want him to. He already had 180+ posts and he wants to delete them all? Well, that reminds me of.. me. I did the same last year. I had over 100 posts but since my blog isn't as active anymore, I decided to delete it. But now that my blogging mood is back.. yay! xD

Pia's prolly gonna have another cat. My grandma's friend has a pet cat that she has to give away and so I thought I'd ask Pia since she loves cats. Her family didn't want it at first, but after I told Pia what the owner would do if no one takes the cat (which is SEND IT TO THE ZOO NOOO D: ) she changed her mind. :3 Yay Pia! She still hasn't think up of a name for that cat though. Any suggestions? ^^;

Sufi's family has finally moved house. From Simei, all the way to Bukit Batok. Man that's far. .__.; The new house is a condo on the 10th floor. It's really nice! But I didn't take any pics of it. Sorry! We ate McDonald's food over there 8D Sufi's dad said we could sleep over at his house during the March holidays! Yaaaaay~! :DD Kay I've to run now. Ciao!

Heeeeeyyyyyyy y'all! I'm back from my big sister's beach partay! She turned 16 2 days ago and we celebrated it yesterday. Her sweet sixteen was awesome! :D It was held at Pasir Ris Beach, near Downtown East. We picked a nice spot for the party: on a walkway. ._. Well, this walkway was a circle path for people to stop by, but we had our party there anyway. xD

Anyway, I woke up at 8.30 am and everyone was already preparing the food and stuff. My grandmother was cooking and my mom was preparing the party snacks. Then they went to the market nearby, followed by the Geylang market to buy more food for the party while I took a shower and got ready. I thought of playing the comp for a while, but I changed my mind and helped my family prepare the food~! Helping them was more fun than I thought! Like srsly!

But something funny happened lol. My mom bought 6 packets of hotdogs, 10 hotdogs in each packet. So there were 60 hotdogs and I had to poke a stick inside each hotdog. Like a hotdog kebab/satay. :D But I had to do it 60 times as they were 60 of them so it was kinda tiring. But when I've done about 12 of them..

Mom: Hm.. maybe we should've cooked them first, then poke the hotdogs.
Me: WHAT?! NOW you tell me this?! After I've done 12 of them?!
Mom: /laughs Okay la, never mind continue.

So I continued. When I hit about 45..

Mom: Ack! We should've cut them into smaller pieces first! Then poke the hotdogs!
Me: WHAT?! Oh no no, I've done like 45 of these and now you're telling me to take the sticks out of every one of them. NO WAY.
Mom: /laughs Okay la, never mind continue.

When I was doing the last hotdog..

Grandmom: (in malay) Actually, we shouldn't have poked the hotdogs. We should place them all in a tupperware and place the sticks in a different place. Then at the beach, those who want a hotdog can poke the hotdogs themselves.
Me: WHAT?! NO. WAY. I've done 60 of these!
Mom: /laughs Okay la, never mind. Thank you.

.. xD So we went with the hotdog-on-a-stick anyway cause otherwise I'd go mad. Then.. Pia came~! :D My big sis had to go to the Simei MRT Station to fetch her friends and my younger sis, Pia and I went to the beach with Aiman's family to pick a spot. Azwan (my P6 cousin, not my classmate) was there too and soon, Aziq's family arrived and we played a game of Monkey and it was fun! ^^ After setting up the food, tables and the picnic mat, my sister, Pia and I sat down and had a little chit-chat. I ate my grandma's delicious banana jemput-jemput and drank lychee syrup. Soon, everyone arrived! Except my sis. Then I asked my mom if we could play in the sand and she agreed! Yayyy! So the four of us went to the sandy beach. Azwan brought cups and plates to make sand castles. :3 We drew lots of things on the sand!

"@ZW@N"Wow, that's a heckload of pics. o_o But I hope you enjoyed them! ^^ We headed back to the picnic at sunset and ate some more. My birthday sis arrived with like.. 10 boys and 1 girl. .____. So anyway, it was birthday-song-singing, cake-cutting time! My sister cut the delicious cake and btw, I didn't take a picture of the cake, but here's a pic of it in a box. ^^;

Delicious? Well of course! But a little too chocolatey for me so I only took a bite of it and gave the rest of my piece to Pia. But I did enjoy the fruits on the cake. ^^ Oh btw, my mom finally bought the long-awaited January issue of W.I.T.C.H. Glitz for my younger sis! Yayyy~! This month's freebies are two very pretty necklaces. :3

After that, more guests arrived. Sufi's family, Azwan's brothers and more of my birthday sis's friends. Sufi, Azwan and his brothers rented bikes from the bicycle rental shop nearby. Pia and I wanted to rent rollerblades, but the it was closed. -.- So I tried renting a two-wheeler bike (I CAN'T RIDE TWO-WHEELERS KAY? DEAL WITH IT) and failed to ride the bike. Again. I guess I can never ride a bike.

We were all eating and chatting happily when Azwan and his brothers asked Pia and I to go to the playground to play with them. So we agreed and went there. The playground was really crowded with kids lol. Anyway, we played this roundabout thingy that I got dizzy with. Pia went to play with the swings. Pia called me to play the swings with her so I went there. Apparently, all the swings were occupied and there was this girl beside her who has been playing on that swing since the time we entered the playground which was 20 mins ago.

Pia asked me to ask her if I could play for just a lil' while, 'cause Azwan did that just a while ago and she let him play. I did the same but when I asked, she let out this grunting sound and left. I had a lil' swinging competition with Pia (which I won xD) and when I was about to stop, the girl came back. But this time, she was with her father.

Father: (in malay) Did you ask my daughter to stop playing the swing?
Pia: Uh ya, but we only wanted to play for a while.
Father: Who are you to ask my daughter to stop?
Pia: She has been playing for more than 20 minutes!
Father: That's her business!

.. then he told me to get out of the swing and let his daughter play. The daughter was like "but I only played for a while!". PLEASE LA. We saw her playing for a long time. -_- Then it was time to pack up and head back home. When we reached home, it was present opening time! My sister received lots of stuff AND A BRAND NEW MP3 PLAYER! DDDDDD: Other than that, she got a stuffed bear, a stuffed pink lamb, a make-up bag, a Maybelline eyeshadow (from me and my friends :D), a pink wallet and some clothes. ^^ Happy birthday sis~! Now.. Hey guys my younger sis and I are having a fight, that most likely I will win. Because when it comes to fangirl fights with my sis, I always win. :3

Anyway, this fangirl fight is about teh famous Dynasty Warriors, men and women. See, my younger sis and I like 3 people equally (ILOVETHEMMORETHANSHEDOES):

- Xiahou Dun, male, Dynasty Warriors
- Liu Bei, male, Dynasty Warriors
- Ryuubi "Touka" Gentoku, female counterpart of Liu Bei, Shin Koihime Musou

If you ask how'd we grow to like them, I'd say that it's the same story. My sister looks at the character, thought s/he was cute, showed him/her to me and I go nuts and scream like a fangirl and say 'OHMAIGAWSH MY HUSBAND/WIFE!' and she'll go all quiet for a few seconds and deliberately followed me and said that s/he is hers. HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT? D<

It's the same for Kotarou from Pita Ten too. We saw him but we didn't know his name. So I searched and toiled and burned the midnight oil searching for "purple boy's" name. And when I found it, I loved him more and SHE followed me. DD< ADEK IS LAAAME ADEK IS LAAAME~

Reasons why..
Xiahou Dun should be mine:
~ I love guys with eyepatches ever since the ice age.
~ I said he's hot first.

~ I said she's wayyy moe first.

I have tons of art homework to do and I have some studying to do. Yoooosh! Time to work hard, pass the N levels AND.. AND.. and get on with it. ._. Plus, I'm almost done with my table! I've outlined the pencil lines with black multi-liner pens, provided by my friend Dionne, and she's gonna teach me how to colour the drawing with copic markers next week! YES!! I love you Dionne! I'll show you guys my table when I'm done with it, kay? :3

I actually paid attention during the Humanities remedial session today. Okay so half of me was paying attention, that is. I can't stop thinking about Ryuubi. Like how pretty she is.. how cute, moe and adorable she is.. how kind yet sexy she is and.. okay I'm getting carried away. ^^; I wonder how much I got for the Maths mini-test I did this morning. It was pretty easy, except for the last question. Sometimes Algebraic Fractions confuse me. x__x Ah what the heck, algebra is still fun. :D

I love my school. See, I have this habit of non-stop vandalising on my table. I do this every year and it always turns out messy. Especially the table in sec 1, my table was completely full of vandalisms with every single coloured marker pen with varies marker tips found. Sec 2 was slightly lesser, and sec 3 was kinda few. :3

Then THIS year, for the first time, my school has teh brains. To prevent the students from vandalising their tables, they decided to give each student a big mahjong paper for his/her table so he/she can doodle on it during his/her free time. Then cover it with a clear plastic sheet so that it won't get dirty. AIN'T THAT COOL?! 8D 8D I'm not done with my mahjong paper yet, but I'll take a photo of it when I'm done, kay? Ciao~

R.I.P. Fluffy
Purin's best animal friend


10 January 2008. My adek's birthday. I thought that was the only thing that's gonna happen today, just my adek's birthday. But then tragic news was received. Something that shouldn't have happened. Fluffy died. It was the most shocking, least-expecting thing I have ever thought to happen. But it happened. I was woken up by mom..

Mom: Nadiyah.
Me: Hmm? (I just woke up)
Mom: Pia come.
Me: Oh eh?
Mom: Ya, she said her cat died.
Me: HUH?!

And I rushed out of the room, wishing it was Cookie, another cat under Pia's care whom I'm not so close to, that died, but when I saw Pia's crying face I knew there would be no chance it was Cookie. And I knew it was Fluffy. I've had pets that died and I know the pain of losing a pet and even though Fluffy wasn't my pet, he was THE cat that taught me not to be afraid of cats despite the fact that I met Cookie first. He made me strong enough to put my fear of cats away. He changed the part of me that I thought was impossible to change.

On the way to Pia's house to visit Fluffy's grave, I stopped. I didn't have the heart to see my beloved lil' friend dead. Why must he go away so quickly? It's too early for him to die. I still have a long list of things I wanna do with him. Thank goodness I saw Fluffy for the last time yesterday. I played around with him, patted his head, kissed his little nose and oh, it was one of the best moments in my life.

At the end of the day, I even had a thought,"Hey, maybe I'll go visit Pia and Fluffy next Monday. Then I can play with him some more! Then I can pat his head and he'll play with me.. oh and I'll take more pictures and record more videos of him! I'm sure next Monday's gonna be so much fun!" but sadly, I didn't get to do those things with him. Why must it be Fluffy, of all cats? I'm not being evil or anything but seriously, why Fluffy? Why?

I did cry, like shed a tear or two. But that was on the outside. For some reason, I can only cry outside when I see it with my own two eyes. Of course, I was crying like hell inside. How can I not feel depressed when one of my best animal friends died? When I saw Fluffy's grave, I was feeling soooooo sad. All I have left to remember Fluffy are pictures and videos of him.

I will miss seeing him being all manja on me.
I will miss touching his fur.
I will miss kissing his little nose.
I will miss the sweet sound of his bell on his neck.
And most of all, I will miss him.

My deepest sympathies to Pia and her family. We all love Fluffy, and I'm sure Fluffy loves us too. Rest in peace, Fluffy. Purin loves you. ♥
